Java Programs
Here is where I will post programs I make in Java. I am beginning in Java still, so I have not made too many advanced things. Some of these programs may not work, but none of them will cause problems in your computer if you follow my directions and use them for the purpose they are meant to be used for. These are not professional programs, and are more of demonstration programs than designed for user friendliness and easy use.
Java Timer
This is a simple timer application that merely times a certain amount of minutes in Command Prompt. When the time is up it prints a message and asks you to acknowledge the timer is finished by pressing enter. Then it tells you how much time there was between the timer finishing and your acknowledgement.
I do not know have access to a Mac computer so I do not know for sure how to run Mac command prompt, or Terminal.
Download the JAR here.
To run this timer, you must use Command Prompt. Merely double-clicking this JAR will not visibly run the program.
To run, open Command Prompt. Locate the file location, and change the command directory of command prompt to the folder the Timer is located in.
Do this by typing "cd C:\.......". instead of C:\....... put the folder it is in. This can be found by opening the folder in a window, and left clicking on the bar showing the location. This is the folder location. Once you have the correct command directory, type in this command:
java -Xmx50M -jar Timer.jar
This will launch the program, and it will ask you how many minutes you want timed, Just type in a certain number of minutes (not a decimal, that doesn't work) and hit enter. The program will now begin timing. There is no pause function in this program, it merely runs the timer until it is finished and you acknowledge it has finished, at that point the timer will terminate.

Grade Score Calculator
This is another Java program that runs in Command Prompt, simply gives a percentage and a letter grade.
Download the JAR here.
To run the Grade Score Calculator you must use Command Prompt. Double-Clicking the JAR will not work.
To run, open Command Prompt. Locate the file location, and change the command directory of command prompt to the folder the Timer is located in. Do this by typing "cd" and a space followed by the location of the file. The file location should look like C:\Users\......., and you can find this by opening a folder that the file is in, left clicking on the top bar and the folder location is now highlighted. Once you have the correct command directory, type in this command secifically:
java -Xmx50M -jar TestScoreCalculator.jar
Now the program will ask you how many problems you got correct. Enter how many correct, and hit enter. Now it will ask you how many total problems. Enter how many total and hit enter.
The program will now show you the percentage and letter grade, and program will terminate (stop).
